Stasis in Destiny 2 differs largely from some of the other elements. As a darkness element, it only appears in weapons found in the Kinetic slot, as well as a few select weapons in the Heavy slot. Due to the countless balance changes to Stasis, building around Stasis weapons can be difficult, even in the PVE sandbox.

Despite that, there are many powerful picks among Stasis weapons in Destiny 2 worth farming, crafting, and using regardless of subclass and build. While pairing them with a Stasis build is always more fun and advantageous, they work wonderfully in other types of builds as well. These are the strongest Stasis weapons players can currently get their hands on.
10 Syncopation-53
A simple craftable pulse rifle, this Suros foundry weapon was introduced in The Witch Queen update and can be acquired as a world drop. It comes with a variety of perks as well, so players can quite easily build it around either PVE or PVP depending on their choices.
For PVE, perks like Outlaw and Headstone are great, especially once the weapon is leveled up and can receive Enhanced perks. For PVP, Moving Target and Headseeker are typical community favorites.
9 Palmyra-B
Palmyra-B made it to the game during the start of The Witch Queen era, and it quickly became a meta weapon when paired with Izanagi's Burden. It's a craftable Hakke foundry rocket launcher, with incredibly powerful perks available, so having at least one crafted version of it in the vault could be a good idea for the future—if rocket launcher meta returns and The Hothead gets nerfed.
Auto-Loading Holster with Explosive Light was the way to go in PVE and is likely still the best choice for players going forward. With Enhanced versions of these perks, Palmyra-B becomes even more powerful.
8 Disparity
This new Stasis pulse rifle is the talk of the community in Season of the Seraph. It feels incredible in PVP and has some PVE options as well for those who don't find Crucible appealing. Its frame makes it a four-burst firing powerhouse.

For perks, Outlaw and Desperado have emerged as early favorites. The weapon also comes with a powerful Origin Trait called Ambush, which gives it a damage, range, and handling boost when players first engage with an enemy at the beginning of a fight.
7 Eyasluna
One of the dungeon weapons introduced in the 30th Anniversary dungeon, Grasps of Avarice, Eyasluna was a returning weapon from Destiny and a community favorite among powerful hand cannons for PVP in particular. It was eventually dethroned by the Austringer that returned with an Origin Trait and the option to craft it around Season of the Haunted.
That said, Eyasluna is still decently good. Outlaw and Headstone is the combination that many players are looking for with this hand cannon.
6 Liminal Vigil
Among the new weapons found in the Spire of the Watcher dungeon that came out during the Season of the Seraph is Liminal Vigil. Now, some players might scoff at the fact that it's a sidearm, but early feedback shows that on the PVP side of things this sidearm is actually quite good and powerful.
For perks, Perpetual Motion and Desperado are the two that most players seem to be going for now, though Headstone is also a major favorite among players. With the new Tex Balance Stock Origin Trait, hip-firing this weapon also makes it a desirable pick-up.
5 New Purpose
This Stasis pulse rifle was introduced during Season of the Haunted in the seasonal dungeon, Duality. New Purpose is strong because its best perks are both great in PVP and PVE, so no matter what activity the player engages in the most, having one godroll should be good enough.
Players can go for either Perpetual Motion or Heating Up in the first column, and in the second column look for either Headstone or Desperado.
4 Fire And Forget
Now that Reed's Regret is out of the rotation of Trials weapons, a new option has surfaced in terms of Stasis linear fusion rifles: Fire and Forget, introduced in the Season of the Seraph. While its perk pool isn't quite as juicy as Reed's Regret's, it's still a moderately interesting pick-up.
For PVE, Field Prep and Vorpal Weapon are likely the safest options for doing actual boss DPS, though neither is by any means the strongest DPS perk for heavy weapons.
3 Quillim's Terminus
Machine guns are still in a weird spot, but Quillim's Terminus isn't all that bad and is probably the best when it comes to Stasis machine guns. It can be acquired from the King's Fall raid that was reprised in Season of the Plunder, is craftable, and can also be farmed in its Harrowed form in the Master version of the raid.

In PVE, Heating Up in the first column is the best pick, while in the second column Firefly and Headstone feel like the most interesting choices, though Firing Line and Killing Tally are fantastic alternate picks. Its Origin Trait Runneth Over lets players overflow its magazine as well when reloading near allies.
2 Deliverance
The Vow of the Disciple raid came packed with incredibly powerful weapons, all craftable and farmable in Adept form as well. Deliverance is the Stasis fusion rifle of the bunch and it packs a real punch, too. Thanks to the Origin Trait Souldrinker, it makes the perfect endgame PVE fusion rifle for melting mini-bosses and orange and yellow bars at close-range.
The first column has several options: Demolitionist, Cornered, or Perpetual Motion, with the first two being slightly more preferable. The second column's must-have is Chill Clip, which freezes the target in question and is perfect for any Stasis builds.
1 Ager's Scepter
There are only three Stasis Exotics in the game, and two of them are practically meme-tier. Ager's Scepter, however, is not a laughing matter. This weapon had its dedicated weekly grind quest back in Season of the Lost, but can now be purchased at the Monument to Lost Lights Exotic kiosk in the Tower.
Ager's Scepter is a trace rifle, but it packs a real punch. It freezes targets and final blows create a slowing area of effect burst that pairs it well with Stasis builds. Any Stasis final blows with other weapons also grant it ammo from reserves. Once the catalyst is unlocked and upgraded, players have access to its alternate firing mod that uses their Super energy to deal increased damage on targets, while also slowing them and freezing them.
